In verses 6-20, David prays for the punishment of his enemy. The Egyptians realized that God was fighting for the children of Israel and decided to run away but alas, it was too late as they were swept into the sea. However, in the situation in which we can pray against our enemies, we should make sure. If the brain is not functioning properly, then there will be confusion. Nothing can operate well if the wheels are jammed. Verses 2-3 say, Take hold of shield and buckler,/And rise up as my help./Draw out also the spear, and close up the way/Against those who pursue me /Say to my. Arise, O Lord, in your anger rise up against the rage of my enemies. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. How did David pray for his foes Arise, O Lord Deliver me, O my God For you have struck all my enemies on the jaw you have broken the teeth of the wicked (Psalm 3:7). Psalm 4:8 is a prayer about personal enemies, and it says, I will both lie down and sleep in peace for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. Ephesians 6:11-17 KJV Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. In Exodus 14 we see how God threw the Egyptian army into confusion. The same God who fought for the children of Israel will also fight for us. Again, in verse 19 he writes, Beloved, never avenge yourselves.

Repay no one evil for evil, he writes, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all ( Romans 12:17 ). The only condition is to not fear any rebuke from the camps of the enemy but to be strong and courageous (Joshua 10:25). Love Your Enemies and Pray for Judgment In Romans 12, Paul warns his readers against taking vengeance into their own hands. It is the same in our lives that no matter how many alliances are made against us, as long us we have committed our works to the Lord, our plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3). In their own abilities, there was no way the children of Israel would be able to defeat the five kings. God confused them such that Joshua and the Israelites defeated and pursued them all together.

They thought by making an alliance they would be able to fight with God who was fighting for His children. Father, every captivity that the enemy has placed my life and destiny in is turned again for good now, in Jesus name. In Joshua chapter 10 we see how the five kings gathered together against the children of Israel. When God is on a rescue mission, He can use anything including our enemies to make sure we are victorious. The bible has explained very well that God’s children do not have to fear anything because the eyes and ears of the Lord are upon them and at the same time the face of the Lord is against them who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth (Psalms 34:16-16).
